An exhibition project on the Kostrzyn Fortress in cooperation with Kulturland Brandenburg e.V., the Fortress Muzeum of Kostrzyn and Kulturland Brandenburg e.V., Künstlerhaus Bethanien GmbH
After his attempt to escape from Prussia, Crown Prince Frederick was imprisoned by his father Friedrich Wilhelm I in the Fortress of Kostrzyn for two years from 1730 to 1732.
On November 6, 1730, the king forced his son to witness the decaptation of his friend and escape helper Hans Hermann von Katte. On the ruins of the former Küstrin Fortress (today Kostrzyn nad Odrą), eleven international artists have implanted site-specific art works that are sculpturally unusual and have the power to serve as historic landmarks.
