Urban Art
Anne Peschken / Marek Pisarsky
Asphalt installation, in West Berlin on the Lenné-Dreieck, shortly before a territorial exchange with East Berlin to place that tried to regulate the line of the border. Today, the high rise buildings of Potsdamer Platz mark the place.
Friedhof der Dinge - Cemetery of Things
(1989)
„The Cemetery of Things sets a tombstone for reality. Stories of a depressing reality are carved into asphalt pieces and fragments of torn-up Berlin streets, telling of accidental street encounters: someone one with a pistol in his mouth, another one sniffing glue, a high rise building, a man walking a dog and a suicide jumper."
